Together, we raise awareness on #EachforEqual #IWD2020
06. March 2020 - Marking International Women's Day (8th March 2020), Röhlig UK Ltd took part in the Bra Recycling initiative run by Against Breast Cancer and donated unloved bras to be recycled. The initiative helps towards sustainability, reduces landfill whilst supporting developing nations and raising awareness on an equal world.
Rachael Longley (Regional HR - North Europe) says: “It's so important that we keep pushing for equal opportunity and women's rights, not just at Röhlig Logistics and workplaces but within our social framework too and I fully support International Women's Day. Breast cancer awareness is such an important talking point and we must continue to encourage women to take care of themselves. I recently found a lump in my breast and received rapid and attentive support from my local GP and NHS hospital, including my first mammogram and ultrasound (the results of which were all clear, I'm pleased to report!) It was a scary and nerve-wracking experience, but I was looked after very well and the process was nothing to be afraid of. There are too many taboos around women's health, so let's keep talking, sharing and supporting each other!"
