At Röhlig Logistics we take immense pride in giving back to local communities and make it our duty to help out those who are in need. The Röhlig #Charity Program enabled our employees from all countries to nominate and vote on domestic charities and initiatives that best resonate with them. This allowed us to raise awareness on social issues and vital initiatives as well as providing our employees a platform to express their personal concerns and inspirations in our world. And that’s because at Röhlig we do our best to be “always by your side”.
Röhlig New Zealand supports the IHC Organisation
Last week, Röhlig New Zealand was honoured to present a token of our appreciation and support to the IHC organisation. The IHC was nominated by our New Zealand colleagues who demonstrated overwhelming support towards the cause.
IHC
IHC is New Zealand’s largest provider of services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families. They were founded in 1949 by a small group of parents who wanted equal treatment from the education and health systems for their children with intellectual disabilities. Their services include residential care, supported living, specialist support, vocational support and social housing. The organisation also lobbies and advocates for the human rights of all people with intellectual disabilities at community, national and international levels.
"We love the fact that this donation to IHC was a result of Röhlig New Zealand staff selecting IHC as the charity to support. We do feel honoured. Röhlig's support will have a huge impact on people with disabilities living in communities around New Zealand. IHC has been working tirelessly for the past 70 years to ensure people with intellectual disabilities could live meaningful lives in the community with their family, friends and neighbours around them.
