26 September 2021 - The Golden Week national holiday runs from October 1-7 in China and October 1 in Hong Kong. During this time, some logistics processes may be slower due to staff being on leave. However, due to recent restrictions and quarantine measures already in effect at ports and airports, the holiday is unlikely to have a significant impact on operations.

Local processes are expected to be completed by September 29, however due to existing port congestion and vessel postponement following Typhoon In-Fa, Typhoon Chanthu, Covid-19 outbreaks at Yantian and Ningbo ports, as well as the ongoing global equipment shortage, personnel will likely be working overtime to help shift the backlog. Further blank sailings are to be expected after the holiday ends.

No new bookings for large shipments will be accepted prior to the holidays. Bookings already made prior to the holidays are likely to move as normal. As capacity and operations are already reduced due to pandemic prevention measures, the Golden Week holiday is not expected to exacerbate existing disruption to flight schedules.

Customs will be closed during the holidays. Customers are advised that gate-in will be ETD-3 working days.

The Röhlig Logistics team will be out-of-office between October 1-7 in China and October 1 in Hong Kong. During this time our teams will ensure to keep customers informed and assist where necessary in case of emergency.
