Chinese New Year 2018
The Chinese new year holiday begins Thursday 15th February and is celebrated throughout China, Hong Kong, Macau and other countries where Chinese are a major part of the population. Offices and factories in China shut down from February 15 to February 21, both days included.
Closing times can affect your supply chain.
China's production goes more or less to standstill during the Chinese New Year period. If you are planning a shipment from China, ensure to plan in advance. Many manufacturers close early and will have a long break.
Trucking companies have announced that 90% of the drivers will work until February 11. However, delays might start from the first week of February, which will mean a shortage of trucking services and increased waiting times outside the warehouses.
In order to avoid any delays in receiving your goods, please ensure that you have all the necessary information regarding your shipment as supplier contact will be intermittent.
Thank you in advance for your understanding during this holiday period.

We will continue to keep you posted as the situation progresses.
