Bremen. On behalf of customer Vector Foiltec, owner run logistics company Röhlig has shipped the front elements to the local World Cup stadium in Brazil’s Recife. Vector Foiltec, a company founded in Bremen, specialises in Texlon® ETFE foil structures and facades. Thanks to such spectacular constructions as the National Aquatics Centre for the 2008 Olympics in China, the company has gained a global reputation. For the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Vector Foiltec was commissioned to set up the Recife stadium front. Röhlig organised the transport of the materials in cooperation with its Brazil agent Figwal. Rui Marques, Vector Foiltec’s manager responsible for South America, commented: “This cooperation also had a major advantage for us, since we could arrange the entire handling of materials directly from Germany.” In total, 130 standard containers were transported to Brazil, containing 25.000m2 of foil material as well as steel elements for the framework with an overall weight of 1.200t.
