“Breaking Through for Global Growth” – this was the motto for this year’s conference held by the globally operating logistic company Röhlig in Bremen. Sixty participants, including Röhlig directors and managers from 17 nations and partners from Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia and Turkey, were invited to Bremen from May 4 to 8. These “Global Conferences” take place yearly at different locations around the world.
After the anniversary year in 2002, there was another reason to invite participants to Bremen in 2011: Röhlig has a Head Office in Bremen and for some it was a good opportunity to be able to visit it in person. A highlight of the conference was the guest lecture on leadership by Professor Dean Williams from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
The focus of the conference was the development of measures to implement Röhlig’s growth strategy. At the end of the conference, the exceptionally pleasing annual results were celebrated with a gala dinner in the cupola hall of the Park Hotel where the best performances of 2010 were honoured. Shanghai will host the next “Global Conference” in 2012.
