BMSB 2021 - 2022 Seasonal Measures
The 2021/22 BMSB seasonal measures have been announced by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department).

There have been some changes to the measures this season, which include:
The list of target risk countries will now include Poland in addition to target risk countries identified for the 2020-21 BMSB risk season.
Emerging risk countries for the 2021-22 BMSB risk season include Belarus, Malta, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Chile.
Removal of tariff chapters 36 and 93 from target high risk goods list
Removal of tariff chapters 25, 26, 31, 46 and 47 from target risk goods list
The shipped-on board date, as indicated on the Ocean Bill of lading will be used to determine if goods have been “shipped” within the BMSB season.
For the 2021-22 BMSB risk season, measures will apply to:
certain goods manufactured in, or shipped from target risk countries, and/or vessels that berth at, load, or transship from target risk countries
Mandatory offshore treatment will again be required for Open Top, Flat Rack and Break bulk shipments. *goods must be loaded within 120hrs from time of treatment
Mandatory treatment (offshore or onshore) is again required for high risk goods shipped as LCL/FAK, FCL & FCX.
