Bremen, 10 June 2025 - The owner-managed logistics company Röhlig Logistics has been awarded the silver medal by EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings in recognition of its sustainability performance in May 2025. This result places Röhlig in the top 15 percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide, marking a significant advancement in the company’s sustainability journey.
Röhlig Logistics has made progress in all four EcoVadis assessment categories, including environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Notable achievements contributing to this improved rating include:
- Launch of the company’s first Sustainability Report
- Completion of a comprehensive Double Materiality Assessment (DMA)
- Group-wide reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
- Revision and enhancement of several key corporate policies
“We are delighted with this validation of our achievements in the field of sustainability,” said Ulrike Baum, Chief Human Resource Officer and member of the Global Executive Board at Röhlig Logistics. “We have advanced from the committed badge to the silver medal within only a year, and this recognition reflects our ongoing progress in sustainability.”
Röhlig’s sustainable initiatives extend beyond reporting and policy improvements. The company actively participates in the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. In collaboration with Hapag-Lloyd AG, one of the world’s largest container shipping lines, Röhlig works to reduce shipping emissions by integrating biofuels. Additionally, through its Röhlig Charity programme, the company supports a range of environmental charities across several countries, underlining its commitment to creating positive global impact.
With these milestones, Röhlig Logistics reinforces its dedication to integrating sustainability into every aspect of its operations, helping to build a more responsible and resilient logistics sector.
