Ongoing security concerns in the Red Sea continue to impact sea shipment schedules and routes via the Suez Canal. The situation has remained largely unchanged over the past two months, prompting major carriers to avoid entering the Bab al-Mandeb strait in an effort to protect the safety of both vessels and crew.

The vast majority of carriers continue to reroute ships destined to pass through the Suez Canal via the Cape of Good Hope (CoGH), impacting transit times by around two weeks.

In response, Röhlig Logistics continues to monitor and compile details on affected shipments and potential additional costs, depending on respective partners and trades. Detailed cost breakdowns, if applicable, can be requested from our local offices as soon as they are provided by the respective partners.

We are committed to promptly updating our clients regarding any revisions to arrival schedules and possible supplementary charges.

Röhlig Logistics reaffirms its commitment to working closely with our partners, emphasising safety measures while striving to mitigate any potential impact on our clients' shipments during these challenging circumstances.
