Position: Airfreight Manager South East Asia

Responsibilities

  • Definition, implementation, external and internal promotion and further development of new and existing airfreight products (import/export)
  • Safeguard the development of local HUB/Gateway
  • Support of the Branch managers in regards to the implementation of the airfreight strategy
  • Development of trade lanes 
  • Identifying and approach of strategic accounts   
  • Risk analysis and decision on investments
  • Assistance of budget- and forecast process
  • Development of a procurement strategy in conjunction with Global Airfreight Team
  • Provide copies of capacity contracts to Global Airfreight Team
  • Ensure that carrier spend is in accordance with carrier classification targets
  • Reporting of the air freight development to Managing Directors (Development of financial result, Budget vs. Actual, Trade lanes, Core Carrier and others)
  • Input in regards to training requirements
  • Acquisition of new and expansion of existing business
  • Joint field sales
  • Optimize structure and associated productivity within the airfreight division – best practice
  • Establish and cement relationships with key carriers
  • Yield management
  • Overall year on year increase in airfreight import and export volumes
