Preventive health measures
The safety and health of our customers and employees remains our greatest concern. That’s why we have activated preventive hygienic measures for safety reasons.
Our contingency plan ensures the continuation of our services to our customers and the protection of the health of our employees.
If needed we are able to continue our business from alternative workplaces, including the possibilities of working remotely from home.
Due to these measures, we are able to attend to all correspondence during this difficult times and provide the needed service to customers.
We have informed our employees that business trips, intercontinental flights as well as domestic trips and defined risk areas are to be avoided until further notice.
If possible we do postpone visits from our clients and suppliers to a later date.
Equipment & Services
Due to the current situation, the pressure on resources is increasing and is causing an increasing lack of equipment.
In particular, a severe congestion of Chinese ports, due to the slow collection of incoming containers, means that many import containers are still not accepted or shipped.
Until China returns to regular production volumes, shipping companies will continue to operate selective empty runs. This network disruption is delaying the repositioning of equipment in key regions around the world and is causing container shortages in North America, Latin America and Europe and cancellations of backhaul sailings.
The resulting capacity constraints may, under certain circumstances, mean that the rates we offered or set in the tendering process cannot be met or are no longer valid.
Furthermore given the recent decision made by the United States to impose restrictions on Europe (UK, IE and non-Schengen excluded) to the United States travel, which is influencing air cargo.
Please do not hesitate to contact your local Röhlig representative in case of any further queries.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
