Röhlig Logistics and Hapag-Lloyd enter biofuel partnership to reduce C02 emissions

The owner-managed logistics company Röhlig Logistics, and Hapag-Lloyd, one of the world's largest container shipping lines, have entered a strategic partnership to reduce shipping emissions through the integration of biofuels.

Under the agreement, Röhlig will utilise Hapag-Lloyd’s advanced biofuel product “Ship Green” for emission-reduced ocean transport. By purchasing biofuel derived from waste and residue-based feedstocks, Röhlig ensures that emissions equal to 100% of its shipments’ well-to-wake* footprint are avoided within the Hapag-Lloyd fleet. This cooperation is aligned with both companies’ ongoing efforts to offer sustainable logistics solutions and contribute to global climate protection.
