Röhlig establishes Global Executive Board
International management structure ensures global business alignment / Jan Skovgaard completes management team
Bremen. To achieve the aims of the Strategy 2018 Röhlig is advancing the company’s globalization systematically. One relevant element is the internationalization of the management by means of establishing a Global Executive Board. After the recent appointment of Jan Skovgaard the management team is now complete.
The goals defined in Röhlig’s Strategy 2018 are ambitious: By 2018 gross profit is supposed to increase by 300 per cent with an 18 % pre-tax profit margin. To reach these aims Röhlig will capture new country markets and develop new products. These projects demand a strong global alignment of business. One important step on this route is the internationalization of the management board.
Global management: Bremen - Hamburg – Hong Kong - Miami
In order to cope with the challenges of global business, since June 2011 Röhlig management is represented all over the world. In this way Röhlig is always close to its customers and employees. Besides Executive Chairman Thomas W. Herwig the Global Executive Board is formed by five CEOs:
- Quentin Lacoste (Europe / Middle East / India), Hamburg
- Ian Hamon (Americas / Africa), Miami
- Jan Skovgaard (Asia / Pacific), Hong Kong
- Hans Ludger Körner (Finance / IT), Bremen
- Ulrike Baum (Human Resources / Corporate Communication), Bremen
New member: Jan Skovgaard
After the recent nomination of Jan Skovgaard as CEO Asia / Pacific the Global Executive Board is complete. Located in Hong Kong native of Denmark Skovgaard is responsible for Project Logistics and supervision of subsidiaries and agencies in the Asia-Pacific-area.
41-year-old Skovgaard is renowned as a successful manager at Röhlig: He started as Managing Director of the joint-venture Weiss-Röhlig in Singapore. In 2003 Skovgaard relocated to Hong Kong in the same position. In Hong Kong he and his team succeded in strengthening Weiss-Röhlig and building up business in Southern China.
