Personnel development at Röhlig
We believe in professionally training staff and in long-term career planning.
The basis for our employee’s personal development at Röhlig is the annual employee assessment discussion. On that occasion, we are able to identify their potentials and needs and review them at least once per year. Together we then determine the next steps or training for their personal development.
Besides individual training, Röhlig offers customized training programmes at junior and senior level:
Blue Step is a Junior Leadership Programme with the aim to prepare employees for a potential leadership position. The programme takes place in our head office in Bremen and includes two training modules à one week each on leadership, finance, intercultural awareness or presentation techniques. Besides the training, the programme starts with an individual assessment center conducted by an external trainer.

"In the year 2001, I came to Belgium to study international transport and maritime management. After my degree, I got a job in Sales at Röhlig – and now I am a full Sales Representative and also participate in the internal leadership programme Blue Step. Röhlig allows me to further my career and at the same time combine that with my family commitments."
Blue Arena is a management development programme and was designed for executive staff with management experience and with the potential to take on higher-level tasks. Spread over 18 months, the programme combines three training modules (5 days each) with real-life project work with the aim to develop personal managerial and leadership skills and to deepen latest industry knowledge. The programme includes a developmental assessment center in the beginning and in the end of the programme.

After several stopovers in Los Angeles, Chicago, London and Melbourne I came back to Sydney as National Sales Manager. After my diverse development within Röhlig, I have been appointed Managing Director of Röhlig Australia. I am thriving in my new position, and can't wait to see where the future will take me next!”
